The Janome Memory Craft 9900 is Janome’s latest addition to its line of sewing and embroidery machines for the home. I fell in love with the new features it brings to the home sewer. If I was truly interested in machine embroidery, and wanted to buy a new sewing and embroidery machine, I would definitely give this one some serious consideration.
The Janome 3160 QDC is a lightweight portable sewing and quilting machine that is so easy to operate, I am tempted to recommend it for use by children. But don’t get me wrong. Just because a child could operate this machine, it is a solid workhorse that an advanced home sewer or someone at the intermediate skill level will be very pleased with.
The Janome 4120 QDC is one of the sturdiest, quietest lightweight sewing and quilting machines available. Its moderate price and great features make it a good choice for the sewer who is new to machine quilting as well as a great choice for the advanced home sewer for whom space is a concern.
The Janome Jem Platinum 760 caught my eye not only because of its size – about a 3/4 the size of just about every other sewing machine – it is loaded with features that are usually reserved for full size machines. It’s great for taking to class, on vacation or for the dorm… and it’s so user friendly, the little sewer in your life could have loads of fun learning to sew on it.
When it comes to sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, the Janome Memory Craft 12000 is one of the very best I’ve seen. This machine is the most user friendly machine of its type on the market today. It comes with a hefty price tag, but it cost significantly less than other machines in its class. I my opinion, this one is definitely worth the investment.
Our only complaint about the Janome Coverpro 1000 CPX specialty machine is that its uses are limited. The exclusive Janome Seam Tightening System ™ assures that every seam made on the Coverpro 1000 CPX is secure. It is so lightweight and easy to move from place to place that we cannot help but wonder how in the world it could possibly perform as well as it does.
Of all the sergers we have reviewed, the Janome 1110 DX is by far one of the easiest to thread that we have seen. Working on the 2, 3, 4 thread/ 1, 2 needle 1110 DX serger was a sheer delight. Although tweezers are included in the accessories kit, we didn’t find it necessary to use them in order to thread the lower looper guides. In our opinion, that is the most valuable feature of this machine.
When I reviewed the Janome 2160DC, I was not disappointed one single bit. This lightweight workhorse offers 60 decorative and utility stitches and six automatic one step buttonholes; but that’s only the beginning. The 2160DC is a basic sewing machine that is not only ideal for the beginner, but a perfect choice for the advanced home sewer.
The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 7700CP home quilting machine is equipped with a knee lift, an extra large work area and 225 decorative and utility stitches. I sampled several different stitch options and were thoroughly pleased with each one. No doubt, the Horizon MC 7700CP is an excellent option for the home quilter who is in the market for a new machine.
